Thank Goodness a voice of reason in all the “smoke and mirrors” that are out there. Can’t wait for future posts. Specifically searched corn and didn’t have what I was looking for – specifically something to address the “grain free”, “corn free” and “GMO” concerns held by many (professional and lay persons)

Hi Kim,
Thanks for reading and for the ideas on future topics. I have a few posts that I’m working on (one is actually about grains and carbs for dogs and cats), but I like your idea of featuring corn and GMO. They might deserve their own individual posts since they are such hot marketing topics.

Hello Dr. Weeth,
I just read your article in DVM 360 and wanted to thank you for presenting some common sense ideas for vets to present to their clients. I am a veterinary assistant/nutritionist with a MS in animal nutrition and work in a mixed animal practice so I tend to field all our nutrition questions. I continually hear clients mention marketing buzz words and am always trying to clarify things for clients. This article will help the vets in the practice clarify as well.
Thanks,
Jen
